So can't you just use explode? I do this:
$explode=explode(" ",$msg,3); if($explode[0]=="/ban") { mysql_query("UPDATE users SET banned='Yes',reason='$explode[2]' WHERE username='$explode[1]'"); } The username is $explode[1] and the reason is $explode[2]. ...
