Now adays you cannot trust what you on the internet. It is rather sad really, because almost everything on the internet seems genuine. The people that fall for the simple tricks of fake internet identities will often end up kidnapped, raped or even dead.

It may seem trivial to protect yourself on the internet but everystep you take can keep you from the clutches of bad people. Some steps to take are do not disclose where exactly you live, i would even refrane from saying what town. Next do not tell them your last name. Your last name can narrow down a person search, especially if the person knows your first name as well.
Next, never post a picture of yourself when cannot be sure who all will see. Epecially on chats, people can enter the room and you would never even know they are there. Along the same lines, friending people on facebook from sites like this one is dangerous, because you cannot 100% know someone's identity. One last basic step. Never meet anyone you do not know from the internet in person. This blog is meant for your safety, and i wish more sights like dsipaint existed because most of the people on here follow these steps. It is your one and only life, protect it!

Yay for little kids thinking they know everything and thinking they're invincible!

This shouldn't be a thing of "Hey, look, I'm cool! I don't care about being safe!" This should be more of a reminder to stay safe.

And remember this, someone does not need to know your address or give you prior knowledge of a meeting time/place. There have been stories over the years of criminals just needing to know what school you attend and see a picture to commit their crimes.

If you are that willing to give out personal information and tell someone that you'll meet up with them, you deserve what's coming.

So, if you meet someone from the interwebz IRL, tell the person " Hey dood, can i bringz meh frendz?"

If person says "nope, plz come alone, plzzzz ;)"
You better leave the guy/girl, unless you much of a dumb ---- to go with a obvious pedophile/killer/something bad.

On a related note, a girl from a school in my area met a guy in a chat and started talking to him and then they planned to meet up and she waited at the place and when he got there he kidnapped her and put her in his truck and tried to cross the border with her, the only thing that saved her was that her friend knew about it and when she was gone for a while she told some teacher or something at the school and they managed to stop the truck at the border and get her. So those things do happen, it's kinda scary when it happens near where you live.

If you do meet someone in person, bring a family, friends, or the mob with you. The mob will definitly protect you... from a pedophile.

Beating a dead horse, aren't you?

I'm tired of these blogs. Each of them is the same crap with a different color. Do you really think anyone's gonna really take this blog seriously when they've heard the SAME EXACT THING numerous times in the past? I think not.

Sure, it's important. But this blog doesn't lift a finger when it comes to emphasizing that. All of your cries are falling on deaf ears.

As a result, I -1 this blog.

It is incredibly rare that someone is raped or murdered by someone they meet a la internet. Those few that were raped or whatever were idiots for meeting them in the first place.

Only on very rare occasions, someone gets raped or kidnapped. There are tons more normal average people then there are pedophiles.

Following what this says, not giving out personal information, definitely can help protect you. Avoid giving out last names, schools, cities where you live, phone numbers, addresses, pictures, etc. to people you don't know.

Of course, I know most people will ignore safety because teenagers are "invincible" (I was when I was a teenager!).
