Do you think you really made your website?

Hello everyone I'm back to talk about websites. Before I get started this blog isn't suppose to make anyone feel like their website is horrible or anything. So lets begin

Wapka.mobi

Well I know almost everyone know these kind of websites. Well most people think they are really making a site by there selves but to be honest your not. Let me explain why. First of all it takes no coding knowledge what so ever to make a wapka website. I think this is why people like it. But a lot of developers hate this because while they code there site from scratch no one cares but when someone has it almost made by someone else everyone loves it. I think I'm speaking for most coders here by saying, if you don't know any programming languages then what your making right now isn't a website. Also when you are making your site all you have to remember is simple code like :mail: or :username: something along that line.

Webs.com

Now webs.com is different because its a web builder and still doesn't envole any programming languages. But if anything this will teach you how websites designing works. But for the most part everything is giving to you even the background. But what I do like about this site is that it allows you to place html codes that you made anywhere on your site which can help out starter programmers learn about that. But still its no different from wapka.com

Real hosting

So after you finally want to make a real website then you should first learn html. A example is <title>Hello world</title> this will be the title aka the little name at the top or on the tab bar of your browser. Second you should learn either php/mysql or Java Script depending on what you are making right now. Java Script is for making games or most of the cool animaion and different things that you see pop up when you click a link. Php/Mysql is for making anything that sends data to the server such has a foru m, blog, and login scripts. You will also need to know css which is styling your webpage. Most of you know this from your profile. Its that simple. To learn these it is easier to learn it here http://w3schools.com It is one of the best place to learn about wrb programming. So one host that i used was http://www.freehostingnoads.net which is good but there are tons out there that are better and if you really are into your site then buy a domain and buy a server/host.

So I hope I didn't hurt anyones feelings.

Goodbye everyone.

I understand that there would be more personal satisfaction in building one from scratch, but I don't see what the problem with web builders is. They're just tools that serve a purpose. Would you pry open a tin without using a tin opener or a similar tool? Would you boycott all telephones and instead traipse back and forth between your friends' houses?

Sure, it's good to learn how to make your own site, but those who don't know how and need a site to serve some function shouldn't be deprived of the ability to have a site.

Many sites are made in programmes such as DreamWeaver, or Photoshop. Did you know that when Google was first set up, the creators didn't know anything about website-building? They just hired a guy to do it for them. Surely that's just as bad as using a site builder? Do you really think every single reputable website out there was written, totally from scratch, by its owner?

I always used free hosting (with real coding) and no web builder.

Web builders doon't teach anything to the users, so I was learning and learning until I was a good web developer on HTML, SQL and PHP.

I always hated Wapka and Webs.
Wapka is getting kinda overused ...

Yep, at least people stopped using Webs.
Even though I kinda hate Wapka.mobi, I am an admin on many.
Shame on me.
But Wapka does have a HTML editor, too. (You can put HTML code in your site)
But still, no WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) builder can match raw coding.
Like we coders do.
And these Wapka slackers get all the users and popularity.
Not fair.
I call for Wapka/Webs etc. sites to be banned from the Affiliate Links section on Paint.
All NON-WAPKA/WEBS USERS in favour?
Wapka = BAD
Webs = NOT MUCH BETTER
Webs WITHOUT HTML MODE/Auto Webs Mobile conversion: JUNK

Why is bbcode and css so simular I know both of them?

Because bbcode is just this script where it just checks to see which thing you put in such as like [ b ] and it puts it into html form such as <b> and on here the [ style ] tage is just like <style type="text/css"> which is css get what im saying?

Someone should make a step by step blog series on creating a website from scratch, starting with not knowing anything about coding.

I can do this but it will take time
